Axxam has a long history and proven experience in High-Throughput Screening (HTS). We provide access to four fully automated state-of-the-art screening stations designed to run biochemical and cell-based assays in 384 well format, using a variety of detection technologies including luminescence, fluorescence, absorbance, HCS and radiometric readouts. The most appropriate screening strategy is selected for any screening campaign according to the specific target’s features and characteristics. This approach ensures the highest probability for a successful HTS with meaningful results.
High Content Screening (HCS) for phenotypic assays can be run on an OPERA®-based platform that includes fully automated “on-the-flight” imaging analysis.
Radiometric screening can be conducted on a CyBio centric screening station for scintillation proximity assays, whereas FlashPlate® assays are run on a semi-automated screening station.

We have also the possibility of accommodating Biosafety Level 2 organisms on one of the available screening stations.
We conduct hit finding programs using either Axxam’s Compound Collection AXXDIV2.0 or any customer’s library that is provided to us. We have excellent compound storage facilities and state-of-the-art compound handling and tracking.
