Stefan Lohmer
Stefan Lohmer is a co-founder of Axxam, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Stefan also oversees the Discovery Research group.
Prior to the founding of Axxam, Stefan was head of the assay development unit at the Bayer Research Centre in Milan and head of Genomics worldwide for Bayer AG. He was responsible for generating and managing Bayer's external genomic alliances with Millennium and Lion Bioscience. He joined Bayer in 1992.
Stefan has a degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Cologne and did his PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding in Cologne.
Alessandro Sidoli
Alessandro Sidoli is a co-founder of Axxam and Chief Executive Officer.
Alessandro was the founder of the Italian biotech company Primm, one of Italy's successful examples of biotech start-ups, and continues to act as Chairman. He is also member of the Board of Directors of Externautics SpA.
Since 2003 he has been Vice-President of Assobiotec, the Italian Association for the development of the biotech industry, and in May 2010 was appointed President.
Alessandro served as Director of Biotechnology Transfer at the San Raffaele Biomedical Science Park in Milan and previously as head of the Department of Biotechnology at the Istituto Sieroterapico Milanese in Milan.
Alessandro received his degree in Biology from the University of Pavia and conducted research at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology at the Oxford University, United Kingdom. He was later a Research Scientist at the Biotechnology Department of Farmitalia Carlo Erba in Milan.
Hanno Wild
Prof. Dr. Hanno Wild is Head of Global Lead Generation and Optimization within Global Drug Discovery at Bayer Schering Pharma. Hanno is responsible for all research activities with respect to generation and optimization of new chemical entities (NCE) up to preclinical development at all BSP research sites (Beijing, Berlin, Wuppertal) .
Before the Schering integration in 2007 Hanno was Senior Vice President Discovery Europe, heading all BHC Pharma research activities at the German research site in Wuppertal. From 2002-2006 he worked as vice president and head of Medicinal Chemistry in Wuppertal. Before that time he had various responsibilities at the Medicinal Chemistry Department in Wuppertal, e. g. as a section head, responsible for the Therapeutic area “Atherosclerosis“. From 1994-996 he was delegated to the Bayer Pharma Research Center in West Haven, Connecticut. In West Haven Hanno started the first projects of Bayer in the cancer field including the project leading to the marketed product Nexavar.
In 2008 Hanno was appointed honorary professor at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität, Bonn.
Giorgio Chirivì
Giorgio Chirivì works in Centrobanca SpA, the investment bank of BPU, one of the major Italian banking groups, engaged in mergers and acquisitions, securities and acquisition finance and IPO's.
Prior to joining Centrobanca, Giorgio was the head of the corporate finance division for Arca BIM for 9 years and before that he was responsible for the merger and acquisition activities of the Credit Merchant Affairs Bank for the Credito Italiano group.
Giorgio was formerly employed by the Credit Agricole group, or more precisely the Group's bank, Union d'Etudes et d'Investissements, where he was involved in mergers and acquisitions in both Paris and Milan. In 1986 Dr. Chirivì began his career at Reconta Touche Ross, a management and technology auditing company.
Giorgio received his degree in Economics at the "Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi" in Milan. |
